I went here most mornings for coffee and a muffin since my room only had a kettle for heating up water and I just cannot survive on instant coffee. They all were so friendly and it was fun for me to go there.Church where the Royals go when they are in Edinburgh.Another photo of Edinburgh…near Waverly train station looking up in to Old Town.I took one more tour up into the highlands – Loch Ness, Ford Augustus and Glencoe. The terrain is so different from the lowlands where Edinburgh is. Very striking. And, of course, the Highland Cows. These were two young ones.

So lovely and I love the idea of staying in a college dorm. Spartan I’d imagine but that would keep you out exploring. Did you meet other people of a certain age there?
